Demon Diary: Malaise
"I'm afraid so, Lord Raenef."
Raenef leaned back against the soft pillows, his pale lips arched in a frown. He lay in a plush bed, bare-chested but for the crisp white bandages wrapped around his stomach and shoulder. At his insistence, the cyborg sat at his side in a chair much too tall for her. It still disturbed Krayon greatly that it did not swing its legs back and forth like a normal child might absentmindedly do.
The younger demon lord rested his hand lightly atop the bandages. "My magic," he repeated. "That is why the holy magic in my wound hasn't consumed me yet?"
